After studying Civil Engineering at University, Mihailo has spent 25 years in the construction product industry supporting a wide range of sectors within the built environment and providing technical leadership and expertise for a multitude of masonry, landscape, infrastructure and drainage products. People are at the heart of everything we do and Mihailo passionately believes that by unlocking the potential and development of his team, we support the progression of the individual and add value to the level of technical and design service we can offer. Mihailo has experience in developing successful teams alongside product innovation, digital processes and tools. This ensures that we support the product and service needs of our customers for now and the future. To keep in touch with legislation and changes particularly linked to masonry and the UK Construction, Mihailo is a member of the Building Alliance and Futures Group.
After studying Law at University Claire has been with our business for over 10 years and has developed her care of people and product skills initially working in customer service through to managing our technical service and remedial team. Latterly Claire has managed our new NPD Growth Engine process for both our concrete and clay divisions and is currently reshaping the special brick shape office and service to support the product needs our specification and design customers. Claire is also responsible for the management and maintenance of our brick technical database and to support the importance and prioritisation of our product innovation, Claire is responsible for processing, managing and protecting Group Intellectual Property.
Having studied a product design degree at University, Matt has worked in Design, Construction and Manufacturing for 14 years and manages our Design Team who support requests ranging from product detailing, product specification, product schedules and manufacturing drawings. The Design Team specialise in design support for our brick specials and brick support systems such as Nexus, Arches, Chimneys and MechSlip – working together to solve problems is at the heart of what they do. Matt has a passion for design technology and is inspiring his team to have a diverse level of technical and design skills to ensure that we have the best brick design support offer available to UK Construction. Matt is also responsible for managing and maintaining our BIM process and brick BIM model library.
Ian is an RIBA and RIAS chartered architect and has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. He spent the first 20 years of his career in architectural practice in London, Hong Kong and Edinburgh working on a variety of building types from small scale domestic to large multi-million pound developments. Ian has designed and implemented many brick projects with a particular interest in historic refurbishment and re-use of existing buildings. 10 years ago he moved into manufacturing and supply of building façade systems developing further expertise in light weight cladding systems, including brick. Ian is the Design Advisor for Scotland, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, NE England and London. His role ensures that we provide the best up to date design and technical knowledge for the architectural and construction community. This is done through the delivery of our CPD content and 1:1 project consultation advising on traditional brick design, brick façade and component systems. Ian is our product champion for Mechslip.
Having studied a Product Design Degree at University, Robert has spent the last 7 years within the construction industry specialising in designing brick faced systems. Rob’s application of his skill and knowledge as allowed him to plug into our new product Growth Engine process supporting the launch of our new brick faced soffit systems for above 18m – Nexus XI. Rob is the Design Advisor for the NW, NE, Midlands and London and in his role ensures that we provide the best up to date design and technical knowledge for the architectural and construction community. This is done through the delivery of our CPD content and 1:1 project consultation advising on traditional brick design, brick façade and component systems such as MechSlip and Nexus. Rob is our product champion for Nexus.
After studying an Architectural Technology and Innovation degree at University Irina worked in Architectural practice for over 15 years where she developed a wide understanding of architecture, design standards, design process and customer design needs especially when incorporating brick, brick components and systems. Irina is the Design Advisor for the SW, SE, Midlands and London and in her role ensures that we provide the best up to date design and technical knowledge for the architectural and construction community. This is done through the delivery of our CPD content and 1:1 project consultation advising on traditional brick design, brick façade and component systems such as MechSlip and Nexus. Irina is our product champion for Specials.
Having studied an Architectural Technology Degree at University, Noor has spent the last 9 years within the construction industry specialising in stainless steel fixings and masonry support applications, including brick-faced systems. Noor has developed a wide understanding of design and technical standards, and the application of her skills and knowledge allows for a holistic approach when it comes to understanding and meeting customer design needs. In her role as Design Technician, Noor ensures that we provide the best up-to-date design and technical knowledge and advice for the architectural and construction community. This is done through delivery of our CPD content and 1:1 project consultation, advising on traditional brick design, brick façade, and component systems such as MechSlip and Nexus. Due to her experience with masonry support systems, Noor’s area of interest is Nexus.
After working in the housing sector for over 12 years, Rob has developed a strong technical skillset and healthy understanding of brick products, brick arrangements and brick support systems. Rob provides support for daily project requests ranging from product schedules to manufacturing drawings. Rob is passionate about digital design and has been instrumental in developing new design tools to aid our brick design processes, product training and certification. With his new role as Technical Digital Champion Rob is also key to the implementation of our technical and design Digital roadmap to drive day-to-day efficiencies and support the needs and requests of specification and design customers.
Tracy has been with the business for over 15 years and leads our team of brick special coordinators. During her time within the specials department Tracy has worked hard to build a high standard of technical knowledge combined with strong customer service – which she passionately believes in. This combination enables Tracy and the team to specify the correct brick special product or range to help realise the vision of a project. Knowledge building and sharing is key to ensure that team of coordinators can offer the best expertise to help make buildings unique. Tracy and the Specials Team specialise in both standard and non-standard special shapes, glazed brick, tile brick and eco products.
